​Our client is a global leader in colour concentrates and additives for the coatings, thermoplastic, rubber, silicone, and liquid dispersions industries. State-of-the-art facilities in the UK and operations world wide, they deliver customer-focused service and high-quality products. To support the growth and strategic development of the organisation, they are seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager to drive sales opportunities for the coatings sector in the UK, Ireland & Europe.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement sales strategies, establish and maintain relationships with customers, and identify market trends to drive growth.

  • Develop commercial relationships with new customers.

  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and rebate schemes.

  • Conduct sales forecasting and contribute to strategic planning.

  • Monitor profitability and implement cost recovery strategies.

  • Collaborate with technical teams on product development.

  • Prepare accurate monthly and periodic sales reports.

  • Engage in digital marketing and customer engagement activities.

Candidate Profile:

  • Technical and sales experience of pigments and additives into the surface coatings or a similar industry is essential.

  • Proven track record in business development and sales.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.

  • Strong understanding of market trends and strategic planning.

  • Proficient in project management and organisational skills.

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in a team.

  • Fluency in English is essential; competency in another European language is an advantage.

  • Technical qualifications or significant industry experience required.

  • You must have the right to work in the UK, sponsorship is not available.

  • UK driving license holder and willing to travel up to 60% of time in UK, Ireland & Europe with regular visits to UK Head Office.
