Our client is a leading manufacturer of industrial coatings and paints, specializing in serving the ACE (Architecture, Construction, and Engineering) sector. They are a highly skilled Industrial Paint Maker with experience in formulating and manufacturing industrial paints, particularly for the ACE sector. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in improving production process, working closely with the Production Manager and Quality Control team to ensure the consistent quality and performance of products.
Responsibilities:
Formulate industrial paints according to specified formulations, considering factors such as substrate type, environmental conditions, and end-use requirements.
Operate and maintain production equipment, ensuring optimal performance and adherence to safety protocols.
Collaborate with the Production Manager to develop production schedules and prioritize tasks to meet customer demands.
Conduct quality control checks throughout the production process to ensure compliance with company standards and industry regulations.
Troubleshoot and resolve production issues promptly to minimize downtime and maintain efficiency.
Participate in the development and optimization of paint formulations, incorporating feedback from the QC team and customer requirements.
Keep accurate records of production activities, including batch records, inventory levels, and equipment maintenance logs.
Assist in the training of new team members and provide guidance on best practices for paint formulation and production
Candidate Profile:
Experience in formulating and manufacturing industrial paints, preferably in the ACE sector.
Proficiency in the use of raw materials and additives commonly used in industrial paint formulations.
Strong understanding of paint chemistry, including pigments, binders, solvents, and additives, and their impact on performance and durability.
Experience operating and troubleshooting production equipment, such as mixers, dispersers, and mills.
Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality products.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate closely with the Production Manager, QC team, and other stakeholders.
Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations related to paint manufacturing and handling.
Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field preferred. Equivalent industrial experience will be considered.
Must have the right to work in the UK.
