Location: Home based in the UK
Great opportunity to join an growing international chemical distributor to manage existing business and develop new opportunities with the support of a dynamic sales team. You will have commercial experience in chemical sales or trading and looking to take on more responsibilities. You will manage a range of monomers and specialised molecules for application in coatings, inks, adhesives and polymer technologies for the UK and Ireland with accountability for pricing in the Benelux region.
Key responsibilities:
Achieve your annual budget contribution (sales and net profit less costs and T & E)
Manage your customers both commercially and technically through regular contact
Develop and implement a strategy for profitable sales growth at key accounts and key product portfolios
Ensure customers understand the company’s payment and stock policies;
Main Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Global Sales Director, manage sales in UK & Ireland and pricing in Benelux for range of monomers and speciality molecules.
All sales activity should be visible, planes and output documented through CRM inclusive:
Provide technical and commercial support to customers through customer visits (circa 40% on site with customer).
Closing sales opportunities effectively and efficiently
Identifying new customer opportunities and product applications
Developing, monitoring and achieving sales pipeline
Reporting competitor information and pricing
Provide accurate and timely sales forecast
Meet sales budget and supplier targets
Undertake market surveys as requested;
Establish, manage and update Customer product sales price lists as appropriate;
All customer price lists should have supporting data in the applicable costing programme;
To ensure the companies debtor policy is implemented and adhered to.
Candidate Profile:
Commercial experience gained in chemical sales or trading is essential
Application knowledge of monomers and sales experience of similar raw materials/industries
Degree is preferred
Good communication skills and the ability to negotiate and take decisions
Must be willing to travel regularly visiting customers in UK
Driven to deliver on an individual level and as part of a team
Highly organised, strong attention to detail, excellent time management skills
UK driving licence and willing to travel in the UK & Ireland
Must have the right to work in the UK, sponsorship is not available.
