​Location: Office based in South East England

Exciting role in specialised recycling area involving the acquisition of spent and waste catalysts from global oil, gas and petrochemical industries. Our client purchases waste materials and arranges for these to be shipped to their processors globally for the recovery of valuable metals. These are then used to produce fresh raw materials in the form of high purity chemicals and metals. The company resells these to industry worldwide as part of a full loop recycling process. They are seeking a technical sales professional with experience in oil, gas, petrochemical, speciality chemicals or catalyst industries. You will be a confident, self-motivated individual who is willing to undertake some global travel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Arrange global purchases and sales of metal-containing spent catalysts and other secondaries.

  • Build and maintain relationships with processors and identify new opportunities.

  • Liaise with clients and visit companies worldwide.

  • Attend trade exhibitions and industry events.

  • Prepare and issue purchase and sales contracts.

  • Coordinate with the logistics team for smooth material shipping.

  • Report to the department head and Managing Director.

Qualifications/Experience:

  • A few years of international sales or purchasing experience in oil, gas, petrochemical, specialty chemicals or catalyst industries.

  • Knowledge of metals markets and trading is a plus but not essential.

  • Willingness to travel (no more than 3-4 weeks per year) globally including Middle East, USA, China, Asia & Europe.

  • You must have the right to work in the UK

  • Hold a valid passport

Role Details:

  • Office based in the UK with regular commuting to the office.
