​Location: Full-time, office-based near Doncaster

An exciting new leadership role has been created for an experienced Warehousing Operations Managerwith a strong background in chemical warehousing. This role focuses on managing and developing a large warehouse facility that requires significant investment and optimisation. The successful candidate will report directly to the Director of Operations and play a pivotal role in enhancing the site’s operational efficiency and capacity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Warehouse Management: Oversee and manage all aspects of warehouse operations, ensuring that the facility is fully utilised and operating efficiently.

  • Team Leadership: Lead a team of 4-5 direct reports, with plans for future team growth. Responsible for team building, personnel assessments, and training and development.

  • Investment & Development: Identify opportunities for warehouse improvements, including facilities investment, streamlining processes, and exploring automation options.

  • Strategic Site Development: Collaborate with the Project Management and support teams to drive site development and on-site services including chemical blending, mixing, and repackaging operations.

  • Collaboration with Logistics: Work closely with the Logistics Manager to ensure seamless operations between warehousing and logistics.

  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to HSE regulations, particularly concerning dangerous goods, solvents, LN2/CO2, and cold storage.

  • Leadership & Decision Making: Display strong leadership and strategic thinking, managing both day-to-day operations and long-term development of the site.

  • Stakeholder Management: Excellent interpersonal skills, ensuring a smooth working relationship with other managers and teams.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in chemical warehousing operations is essential.

  • Proven experience in team leadership and development, including personnel assessment and training.

  • Strong knowledge of warehouse efficiencies, streamlining processes, automation, and making informed investment decisions.

  • A solid understanding of health and safety, compliance and chemical handling and storage.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex operations and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

  • Strategic thinker with the ability to manage site development initiatives while maintaining operational excellence.

  • You must have the right to work in the UK. Sponsorship is not available.

  • Full, clean driving license.
