Location: Full-time, office-based near Doncaster
An exciting new leadership role has been created for an experienced Warehousing Operations Managerwith a strong background in chemical warehousing. This role focuses on managing and developing a large warehouse facility that requires significant investment and optimisation. The successful candidate will report directly to the Director of Operations and play a pivotal role in enhancing the site’s operational efficiency and capacity.
Key Responsibilities:
Warehouse Management: Oversee and manage all aspects of warehouse operations, ensuring that the facility is fully utilised and operating efficiently.
Team Leadership: Lead a team of 4-5 direct reports, with plans for future team growth. Responsible for team building, personnel assessments, and training and development.
Investment & Development: Identify opportunities for warehouse improvements, including facilities investment, streamlining processes, and exploring automation options.
Strategic Site Development: Collaborate with the Project Management and support teams to drive site development and on-site services including chemical blending, mixing, and repackaging operations.
Collaboration with Logistics: Work closely with the Logistics Manager to ensure seamless operations between warehousing and logistics.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to HSE regulations, particularly concerning dangerous goods, solvents, LN2/CO2, and cold storage.
Leadership & Decision Making: Display strong leadership and strategic thinking, managing both day-to-day operations and long-term development of the site.
Stakeholder Management: Excellent interpersonal skills, ensuring a smooth working relationship with other managers and teams.
Requirements:
Extensive experience in chemical warehousing operations is essential.
Proven experience in team leadership and development, including personnel assessment and training.
Strong knowledge of warehouse efficiencies, streamlining processes, automation, and making informed investment decisions.
A solid understanding of health and safety, compliance and chemical handling and storage.
Demonstrated ability to manage complex operations and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Strategic thinker with the ability to manage site development initiatives while maintaining operational excellence.

Full, clean driving license.
