Position Summary

Our client is seeking a driven and experienced Paint Specification Sales Manager to launch two new product ranges into the UK and EU markets. You will identify and secure new business opportunities for the new paints. In this role, you will write specifications, manage projects and trials, and drive adoption of these innovative products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop new business: Proactively seek out and build relationships with key stakeholders in transport, construction, and healthcare sectors to expand the market presence.

  • Manage Projects and Trials: Write specifications, lead and oversee project initiatives, including site visits, coordinating trials to ensure client satisfaction and product effectiveness.

  • Provide Technical Expertise: Leverage your knowledge in specification sales to consult with clients on the best solutions to meet their needs, providing guidance on technical aspects of paint applications.

  • Market Research and Feedback: Gather insights into market needs, competitor offerings, and emerging trends to help shape product development and innovation.

  • Travel and Client Engagement: Visit clients and attend industry events across the UK and Europe, representing the company and presenting the latest advancements in paint technology.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Experience: Proven background in specification sales within paint, coatings, such as road marking, fire protection, anti-bacterial and biocidal coatings.

  • Technical Acumen: Strong understanding of paint applications and performance requirements for transport, construction, and healthcare environments.

  • Self-Motivated and Independent: Capable of working autonomously with a home base and managing travel schedules efficiently.

  • Communication and Presentation Skills: Excellent at building relationships, presenting technical information to clients, and conveying product benefits clearly.

  • Willingness to Travel: Able and willing to travel extensively across the UK and Europe to meet customer needs and project requirements.

  • Valid EU or UK driving licence.

  • Passport holder and willing to travel extensively across the UK and Europe.

  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, you must be fluent in written and spoken English, additional European languages an advantage

  • You must be based in the UK or Europe with the right to work, sponsorship is not available.
