​Location: Home based with min. 50% of time spent travelling nationally

Our client is a growing chemicals distribution business focused on delivering value and an expert service to customers and suppliers. They are part of a highly successful multi-national organisation delivering for their customers across the globe.

As the UK Sales Manager you will be responsible for growing sales in the area of Food and Feed. Through experience and carefully cultivated relationships you will drive sales and maximise growth and profit through increased market penetration and delivery. There will be a strong emphasis on building and managing a robust pipeline of strategic customer opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Increase sales of Food and Feed Portfolio products to existing and newly acquired customers.

  • Identify, research and qualify new potential clients and work closely with the internal teams to convert to customers through an omni channel approach (calling, emailing, social media, face to face visits).

  • Utilize product know-how and individual customer needs to optimally advise customers with regard to various applications.

  • Managing the relationships of our largest customers and develop and maintain long-lasting relationships to grow the business.

  • Deliver against monthly and annual Activity and Sales KPI’s.

  • Record all activity accurately using our CRM system, including new customer set up and meeting reports and raise and send quotes to customers.

  • Development of strategies together with Product Management to establish base prices and lead times and Marketing for the targeted expansion of new customer business.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Sales experience in the food ingredient industry.

  • Demonstrated ability to build a profitable new business.

  • Proficiency in use of SAP, CRM software, MS Teams and MS Office tools.

  • Proficient in data analysis to understand business and individual performance and gap analysis.

  • Clean driving license.

  • Existing right to work in the UK - sponsorship is not available.
