Our client, a leading manufacturer and distributor of specialist chemicals, is seeking an experienced Product Manager to join their UK Coatings and Adhesive Group. Representing a broad portfolio of chemicals, resins, additives, pigments, and raw materials, you’ll play a pivotal role in driving growth, technical support, and business development across the UK.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Customer Management
Develop and maintain strong customer relationships.
Proactively plan and schedule regular customer calls.
Resolve customer queries and complaints with efficiency and professionalism.
Transaction & Financial Management
Structure sales transactions for maximum profitability.
Monitor sales performance and provide variance analysis reports.
Liaise with finance teams on budgeting, forecasting, and stock management.
Project & Product Group Management
Drive business development through active project pipeline management.
Ensure seamless integration of new projects into core business activities.
Provide technical assistance and growth strategies for product groups.
Principal & Competitor Management
Manage relationships with key suppliers and identify new principal partnerships.
Schedule and oversee principal visits to align with company goals.
Conduct regular competitor analysis to maintain market leadership.
What You’ll Need:
Degree or Diploma in a relevant field.
Strong understanding of financial management and reporting.
Technical and practical experience within the coatings, inks, or adhesives industry.
Proven sales and marketing expertise.
Strong organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word).
UK driving licence
